What do you use it for? Why do you want to upgrade? It's a good start you already decided to which watch to upgrade. Why are you looking at fr965 as opposed to instincte or instinct3?
there are two different type. instinct is outdoor watch, forerunner is sports watch. but for sure display on newer watches is defenately upgrade. otherwise both are Garmin, so pros and cons :)
Ok, let's be honest. The display is a huge upgrade compared to any instinct 1 or 2 :)
Not only because of not being monochrome any more (even the 8 colors of fr55 is a big upgrade) but also for not having the strange sub-display, that also means you have less CIQ apps for it.
