Connection with indoor cycling bike does not work anymore

My FR965 refuses to connect to my Schwinn 800IC indoor cycling bike. I had the bike connected before, so I was able to start a connection but after updating to 22.22 it lost the connections every 5 minutes or so. Then I removed the sensor from the list of connected sensors hoping that adding the bike again would fix the problem But now my FR965 cannot find the bike sensor anymore

Does this relate to EU regulatory rules they are moving away from the unencrypted BLE connections. Or the watch needs to display a dialog that “the connection may not be secure” ?

For me it looks like a bug in the firmware.

I have this exact same issue from an update I received on the watch last week. Garmin support's only answer was to swap out my watch for a refurbished one, which I don't want to do since this Forerunner 955 is only 6 months old. Came here looking for some answers and am finding many others are having the same issue so I'm wondering if they will send out another update. I am not having any luck restoring the watch to a previous version before the last update and am looking for other ways to troubleshoot without having to send the watch in for a replacement.

I am having the same problem. I think Garmin did this so we will use one of their sponsored third party apps.
