Third-party maps still broken. When will this be fixed?

It's been 7 months since Garmin broke third-party map rendering and then fixed then broke them again https://forums.garmin.com/beta-program/forerunner-965/forerunner-965---public-beta-bug-reports/i/public-beta-version-20-xx/maps-like-openfiets-freizikarte-look-terrible-after-update-thick-road-lines

Is there any chance this can be fixed before the 965 stops getting updates? Every new firmware fixes tiny inconsequential bugs and adds new stuff most don't use, but there's a huge amount of longstanding issues which haven't been addressed, some nearing 2 years now, like turn-by-turn navigation screen not updating, this maps issue, weather widget being crippled etc.

Would it be possible to address some of the big, old issues instead of redesigning passcode menus or adding things like jetlag which can rarely be used regularly.

Garmin-Sierra Hi. Any chance this can be fixed again? It's been fixed before then re-broken, and fixed for the Fenix and Epix line I see. This is 8 months broken and super frustrating to deal with.

I have the latest firmware and I don't suffer from thick road lines, even though I use a custom map of my own with roads with border lines. And Talkytoaster has confirmed that there's no rendering problems with his maps either. So if there are errors left, they don't seem to be as widespread as originally.

I've noticed that really narrow lines are now 1 pixel wider than before because of antialiasing, but that's not a big issue.

Yes, TT has done a hack to fix it by making them bitmaps but it's not the solution, they're on the Fenix 7, 8, Epix, and Enduro & Forerunners, it's a range-wide issue. Try some of the other osm maps like openfiets and see, they look ridiculous and really hamper navigation.

That Talkytoaster bitmap hack was reverted some time ago, I remember seeing a message about that.

I only have the old TT map and it still looks broken, as do all of my third party osm maps so this clearly hasn't gone away. Can you post a screenshot of say a bbbike extract of a small area of openfiets lite on yours please?

absolute mess

Take a look at these, what an absolute mess, these are https://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de/garmin/en/index.html maps, which used to look great, now they're comically bad.Same with openfiets, maptrekking, all but their own are crippled.

Exactly, still broken. The roads have a few px thick border which is the issue. Compare Garmin's TopoActive map and see how clean it looks.

Probably not since Garmin does not care to fix all bugs even on their premium watches.
