Daily suggested workout - stupid question

Hello everyone,

I have a stupid question about running DSW. And weird (for me) changes it makes.

For example:

During morning report I got a suggestion for 40' base run - ok, as expected. But when I changed my training target from heart rate to pace then magic happened. Whole plan was changed and previous 40' base run was changed to rest day. And after that I changed back target to heart rate the rest day stayed.

So my question is - why it is happening like this? Like this, that watch recalculates workouts when changing target?

Maybe the DSW should have an option for this - like a "Refresh" option to choose if yours day was rough and You don't feel like you can do a suggested run, so from stress, heart rate and all those fancy metrics it could recalculate a workout for more "up-to-date".

Oh I'm sorry if this topic was previously discussed. I didn't see that

Also - I'm using public release SW 21.22 and did not have problems with "triangle of death".

Greetings

Most likely, the change in settings triggered a reevaluation of your suggestion for that day.

You don't feel like you can do a suggested run, so from stress, heart rate and all those fancy metrics it could recalculate a workout for more "up-to-date".

This is a good idea. Without it, just don't train, cross-train, or do a light workout instead of the suggestion. The following day whatever you decided to do will be reflected in the suggestion.

  • Agree with above.  It’s unlikely that the algorithm would change your suggested workout based on pace vs hr, and much more likely that you re-synched and it updated the suggestion based on updated data.
