Third Party Temperature Sensor (Tempe Alternative)tete

Hi,

Is there any third party temperature sensor apart from Garmin's Tempe?

I find the Tempe is quite slow in getting connected to Garmin watch.

No, there is no alternative. It is slow to connect, but that is because it is extremely low power, it transmits every 4 seconds continuously on one CR2023 cell for over a year. I am hazy on the details but the Tempe does not send all its "data pages" equally frequently. One data page has temperature and another has device information. The receiving device seems to need the Tempe's device information page, which is transmitted only every few minutes, so it can take really long for the device connecting the Tempe. (Dear members, please correct me if I am wrong)

It's a pity if there's no alternative, because Tempe has been discontinued.

Makes me sad. It is the ANT+ sensor I've had the most fun with, for well over 10 years. 3 out of the 4 I bought are still working, knock on wood.

There are still on sale on Amazon but for double the price that they were 5 years ago.
