Missing Events on watch

Just I've noticed all events are not showing up correctly on my 965 watch, at the moment I have six up coming events loaded in on Garmin connect.

When I look on my watch it is only showing four events and one of them has doubled up, so technically only showing three events.

Anyone else noticed this issue recently?

Re-syncing does not seem to help.

  • Have a similar issue! Have been following a Garmin Coach Training Plan for a Marathon in April for 6 weeks now and today suddenly the watch is showing no upcoming events and Bike + Run training plan in garmin coach (that I can't even pause), the iOS garmin connect app is showing the correct details but the Garmin coach plan there is saying "stay tuned for details" instead of workout suggestions for the next days. And the web version of Garmin Connect shows yet other information, that seems to be the correct one though: correct event, seemingly correct workout suggestions.

What I tried so far: Turned everything on and off, offloaded unnecessary Connect IQ apps, synced couple of times, tried to update (but it is already at 21.19 version according to the watch). Nothing helped.

    Fingers crossed they fix it!

  • I noticed this same thing when going through my race widget. I tried a handful of things:

    1. Resending the events down to the watch. Noticed that this would actually cause some events to be duplicated on the device which is a new behavior I’ve never seen before.
    2. Power cycling the device doesn’t appear to have any impact. In fact, I once noticed that it removed events from my watch??
    3. Switching event priority. This looks to work for right now, as all my events are correct both on connect/the device. But for people that are in a Garmin Run/Cycling Coach  plan, this won’t work because the plan would get deleted. Certainly not an ideal solution, and I am cautious about restarting my device in case #2 happens again then I’m back where I started.

What’s also odd is that some of the events would sometimes share the same image file, but show correct dates and other event info (courses, goals, etc.).

I also have a metric century cycling plan active, so not sure if that messed with it at all. I own/created all the events on my account, so it’s not like I’m using events I found other places on my device.

  • Same here. I guess it has to do with the last update. In Garmin Connect the events still show and if I switch the primary event they will show up again on the watch,

  • I am having the exact same issue as of today, when I added a third race to my calendar. It had been working wonderfully ever since then, and now races seem to dissapear almost at random. From the 3 races it only shows one now, even after trying to add the other multiple times over. Has anyone found a solution yet?

  • I have the same problem, new races don't show up on the Garmin watch (forerunner 965) after synchronisation. I have to turn watch on and off to get the race appear on the screen, however only last added one is there (so one out of three races appears on my watch). It's so frustrating, it's a basic functionality and it doesn't work out-of-the-box. I have the newest software, beta updates turned on.

  • Something is definitely broken again.  My 965 that's setup as the primary device now shows no events and a training plan that doesn't align with the events. My Edge 840 does at least show the two events that are setup in the event calendar but the training plan is identical to the one of the watch.  I am on the beta for the 965 (was 23.13, now 23.15 but this issue remains).

Creating a new event does sync that event to the watch, but makes it the only event.  Restarting the watch just removed that test event even though it remains on the Edge and in Garmin Connect's web/app interface.
