Do road borders render properly with third party maps in 21.19?

The bug report "Third-party map borders are too thick - repeat bug" is the second most voted bug on the beta forum, and it's still in "Ticket created" state. Garmin-Sierra , has this bug been resolved in the officially released 21.19? I'm not going to upgrade until the maps work again...

That's interesting. Because I just found out an update to Talkytoaster blog post that says "UPDATE 3: This issues has now been fixed in the latest firmware for all affected models, and all maps from the 1st of December 2024 will be full vector graphics again (as they were before this bug was introduced by Garmin in their firmware)." support.talkytoaster.me.uk/.../thick-black-lines-on-roads-edge-1040-etc

So I assumed that the bug would have been fixed for Forerunner 965 as well. Pity if that's not the case...

Not fixed here on 21.19 and no newer update on Garmin Express for me. I can't see where this info is sourced from on the tt website

On the Facebook Talkytoaster said that none of the 955/965 customers have complained after changing the maps back to vector graphics. FredGolightly, could you share a screenshot demonstrating how 3rd party maps look in 21.19?

Normal road going north-south ish, the rest have the road border/thickness issue. This is not TT map but all third party maps on 21.19 look like this for me

Yep, for me it was never every single road, more just most roads. There's plenty of reports, I've not seen it fixed anywhere since it was broken again, and I doubt we'll see it done before 2025. No idea where TT is getting his info from but it's definitely not fixed on 21.19 fr965, can't be bothered to check my epix of f7p. I don't use TT maps as there's many better alternatives for free, but he may have fixed his by way of a hack but it's still an issue which Garmin needs to fix

Ok, thanks for the info and screenshot, and a heads up to Talkytoaster.

For TT maps he updated the maps back to vector roads a day before 21.19 went public, so for that one day it might have been that all official firmwares were fine.

But I agree this needs to be fixed. Seems like I'll stick to 20.32 for the time being. (It seems that 21.19 currently has some other issues as well.)
