Bug: Short press not working on charts

Hi All,

There is a bug that I identified on my Forerunner when using buttons to move a picked point on charts. The button to move the picked point to the right does not allow short press.

Here is how to replicate:

1. open any chart, such as the HRV chart with the line of the last night.

2. Pick any point on the chart to see the detail of the value.

3. Try to move the position of the point on to the left and to the right using the buttons

Issue: the button to move to the right does not react to short presses (only long press will work). To the left it does react to short presses.

Can you replicate this issue ?
thanks for your feedback!

  • I just tried (I'm on official firmware 20.32). Short presses work both left and right.

  • Hi, thanks for your answer !

I found what caused that bug: I had disabled the setting to open MUSIC when long pressing the DOWN button (under System > Hot Keys > Hold DOWN > Set to ´None´)
Re-activating this shortcut also reactivated the possibility to short press DOWN to move the cursor on charts.

So if anyone wants to be able to use buttons on graphs, do keep the MUSIC shortcut active

  • Yes, I could replicate that. I don't think it matters what is assigned to the down-pressed hotkey, as long as there is something. And if there is no hotkey for down, keeping it pressed actually moves to the right continuously, which could be kind of nice. But of course doesn't explain why the short press doesn't work.

Might be a good idea to send this info to support.
