FR965 multiple BT devices

I have owned my FR965 for a year now. For the most part, it's awesome. I use it along with HRM PRO chest strap and I have never had issues.

Welllll, until recently. I connected my Samsung Buds to my FR965 so I can listen to music (YouTube music) without carrying my phone. Now I feel my metrics that the HRM PRO collects are messed up. Of course my cadence and HR are way off, but other metrics like GCT balance are not present.

To me it seems like the HRM PRO is having connectivity issues ORRRR there is some interference. Has anyone experienced the same? Any fixes for this?

Thanks!

  • This is not a solution but I have no problem with having simultaneous connection to my Samsung Buds 2 Pro headphones & HRM Pro+. I agree, if ground contact balance is not present, it suggests that HRM Pro was not used at all and all data came directly from the watch. Does your HRM Pro connect via Bluetooth or Ant+ (you can check from the sensors menu)?

  • The Samsung BUDs are connected via BT and the HRM PRO+ is connected via ANT+.

The ground contacts are good. I wet them before use. I never have an issue with the HRM PRO+ unless I am using the Headphones simultaneously

  • Then I'd contact Garmin support. I've had no issues with a similar setup. Maybe you could first try some other headphones just in case.

  • I read your original message again and it occurred to me that changing the battery of your HRM Pro could also be worth trying.

  • I did change the battery on the HRM PRO+ just a couple days ago. So that can be ruled out as well.

Bitti, you're awesome. Thank you for your responses. I will contact Garmin support.
