Battery drain still not fixed in 20.31

Is there any plan to fix battery drain at all?

And please don't paste links to battery optimization page, because all my settings are the same as were before version 20.x

Restart after activity doesn't stop battery drain and share is disabled.

Local office want that I send my device to them, but I can't afford to be without a watch one week before main race of the year and they don't want to provide testing device for the time when I will be without my device. I also don't see any point in doing this since there is no guarantee that they will send me new device with version 19.x

  • I see the same results with my watch - the battery drains quickly.

The only thing that helps is turning the watch off and on again

  • What has helped me is to disable "Garmin Share" on my FR 965. I got this tip from a tech site. Before applying the tip, I had the same issue.

You can find "Garmin Share" within the menu item "Connectivity" on your watch.

  • What has helped for me iis to disable "Garmin Share". You can find it under the menu item "Connectivity" on your watch.

  • The last time I was asked to send in my device (due to the huge pile of bugs I report) Garmin send the same device back to me.

When I told them, they claimed I received an replacement, until I confronted them with the fact that the 'replacement' had the same version number as the one I send in. Then they quickly changed their story that they checked the device and found nothing wrong. When I said I still have the same bugs, they told me I had to send in the device again and this time a supervisor would look at it.

I asked them if they are open to consider the possibility that the bugs might be in the garmin software. Never heard of them since.

That was one of the sad experiences I have with Dutch garmin support.

  • Still not fixed in 20.32!

  • That's weird i have no problems since 20.29. Not sure what 20.31 does, just installed it(that's why i'm here) Are you guys using a watch face from the store or a pre-installed one from Garmin?

  • Nothing custom, as written in original post I didn't change anything after upgrade and battery drain appeared after upgrade.

Just finished 9h race and still have 50% (1/3+ of time on map or PacePro screen), whereas normal usage without activity uses around 20% per day.

On Monday I am sending it to Slovenian office with request to downgrade firmware or replace it, otherwise Suunto Race S here we come.

  • I received new watch (not refurbished) and now I am questioning myself if update it to 20.32 or not Grinning

    Current version is 17.28
