Laps view instead of Interval view: how to change this setting?

hi,

I made an upgrade from 745 to 965. The watch is stunning, but there is one annoying issue. When I complete a run in the summary view on the watch I see one big chuck (Interval) with all the statistics instead of laps, which is useless as I want to check my laps. Is there a way to change the setting? Many thanks.

Maurizio

  • Newer Garmins will auto-categorize your laps into intervals if you press the LAP button and the watch thinks you were running intervals (e.g. your manual laps have alternating fast and slow paces.)

Yes, this is annoying and no, you can't turn it off.

I see it when I press the lap button for manual interval workouts (which is fine), but I also see it when I press lap button for strides after a steady state run, which is annoying, bc just like you, I want to see the original lap data on the watch after a run, not the interval data.

In your case, do you always see exactly one big interval? Then maybe it's a different issue, as automatic interval categorization should result in at least 2 intervals afaik.
