What activity profile should I use for circuit training with running in-between?

I've got a workout planned for my cross country team this afternoon, which involves a series of strength training exercises with 'breaks' in between where we run.  We'll be going inside for the strength and outside for the running.  What would be the best activity profile to capture this?

was thinking of just using the Run activity, and hitting the lap button for each "inside" strength training portion.  at least I'll get the HR data for that part, and capture the distance and pace and such for the running portions.

is there a better way?

  • I have the same problem every week. Sometimes I switch between run and strength sports and create a multisport activity. Sometimes I stick with either of the sports or HIIT. The problem with that is that you'll get some skewed data entering in these sports stats (IMHO) that might have strange side effect. On the other hand changing sports every time has its own problems: takes too much time and maybe has another side effect, that because each of the short sport "legs" are too short in time, it might not do some calculations that need a minimum of 10 minutes of hard work (can have bad effect on the calculated VO2max)
