The “Auto Lap” voice alert translation bug has NOT been fixed for about two years now.

I'll buy one cake and put two candles for Garmin, everyone is invited to celebrate the two year “anniversary” of the Forerunner series watch firmware bug.

Seriously. In the classes Running on daily recommendations and on the Garmin Coach at voice alerts in the headphones connected to the watch every kilometer sounds the same phrase “Odu lap one kilometer”, which means apparently “Auto Lap one kilometer”. And this phrase can sound out of ten kilometers (laps) only five or six times along with the lap tempo and lap power.
With the advent of Garmin connect 5.xx version specially checked how this phrase sounds through a smartphone, that is here even “more interesting”, the first word “Auto” is translated into other languages, but the word “Lap” is not translated. But through the smartphone “Auto Lap” sounds at every kilometer of the notification.

Garmin please let me know that you are aware of this and it will be fixed in time.

  • There's no point in posting this here. You need to report it instead of complaining about it.

  • You could have asked me first how many calls I made to tech support about this issue ten or twenty times in two years?
All of the Garmin calls have ended in .... watch for the next update or check it out in the new beta version released today.... the result has always been zero.
What's the point of fixing it if all the testers run around and listen if they listen via iPhones.

I don't like snot and tears either.
But sometimes I have to use “sharp phrases”, hoping to succeed for the twentieth time.

At least let more people know about it here.
