965 suddenly not connecting to device. Been using it since last year no issues or changes, and today it suddenly won't connect.

Anyone else experience this issue? Things I've tried

-restarting both watch and my android device (galaxy s22)

-unpaired then repaired

-uninstalled reinstalled Connect app

- did full reset on 965

Connect app it won't pick up the watch.

This literally suddenly occurred today, never had this issue that past year I've been doing this several times a week.

I've got this same problem today. My Forerunner 10 connects for charging but Express shows no device connected. I get a Windows message asking me if I want to format the drive.

Also experiencing this since a software update. There was another update that installed this morning. Neither bluetooth or WiFi connectivity will work. I unparied my device and tried repairing. When I put me watch into pairing mode I get a message saying "Need wireless V28.17" Seems like it could be a bad software update

I have been trying to troubleshoot this with Garmin tech support - and no luck so far. They advised me to do a factory reset of the device which I did - but that did not solve the problem. When I try to pair the phone it still gives the same message - "Need wireless V28.17". The update also seems to have killed WiFi connectivity to the watch as it can't find my WiFi networks nor any others typically visible from my house.

Same issue here. Does Garmin ever read these forums - are we likely to see a fix?

No fix on this yet as far as I'm aware. I went to my local garmin store, explained the issue and they gave me a brand new watch and took in the old one.

I contacted Garmin tech support online - and they sent me a new watch. I had to leave a deposit on it that was refunded when I sent back my bricked watch. Apparently - the software updated caused some sort of error. It was a frustrating problem - but kudos to Garmin for taking care of it efficiently and doing the right thing. This level of service make me feel that the Forerunner is worth the premium price.
