Resume Later - Approaching your bedtime prompt

I use the Hiking app to track my route and progress.  WHen doing A MULTI day hike I use the resume later so  can track the complete hike as one activity.

This works quite fine, as long as you respond to the 'Approaching Bedtime" prompt "do you still want to resume later?"

This prompt seems to come at random times near my usual bedtime buy is not consistent.

On the last trip, I went to bed early before the prompt and I was woken up in the middle of the night with the watch vibrating and a message on the screen saving the activity.

After an activity is saved there is no way to resume so I had to create a new activity for the next day.

Is there anyway to disable this annoying prompt?  I stopped the daily activity with "Resume Later" when I arrived at camp.  The watch should honor that without prompting at bedtime.

  • I have stopped using Resume later for multi-day hikes. For one, it seems to prevent sleep tracking. Also it makes the already shaky training load for hiking even worse, because your hr always drops during rests. And stress measurement doesn't work during Resume later either.

Lately I've started recording each segment of the hike separately (I still use Resume later for short breaks), and then after the hike I combine everything to one activity using FitFileTools.

  • As a workaround you might be able to concatenate the multiple activities using fitfiletools.com
