Forerunner 965 Warranty Return or just a Return and repurchase?

Forerunner 965 Cannot Upload Maps error. First watch was returned it did not have the ability to select walk as an activity. Got a second watch now this one cannot Upload Maps. 2 watches out of the box have not functioned as they should. This time I opted for warranty replacement. Should I return and go for a 3rd watch or go through with warranty replacement?  Afraid the warranty replacement will be troublesome as well.  Really discouraged.

    Since they cannot deliver a working watch I would demand my money back and buy a Suunto Race (s) instead. (I live in Europe and we have pretty good customer protection)

    Interesting issues that I never had with mine, I've had a replacement for the haptic engine going crazy but otherwise (apart from the various bugs) been happy with the watch.

    Regarding the maps, when I've had issues I deleted the .img files from the device drive and then re-added the maps I required.

    They had me take a video of the watch and send- then had me restore to factory for both watches.  First watch I returned and got another.  This second time though I am thinking it may be smarter to have Garmin send me one they know works so I paid for them to send one and it will be refunded when I return it.  This second watch I sent files and folders and they said it’s a warranty replacement.  The agent was was someone of very minimal words and left me hanging for an absolutely incredible amount of time - it was a very off putting experience.  A more helpful agent may have had a different outcome.  I am just hopeful Tres will be the charm.  

    The map issue looks to be coming.  Never saw another person state their watch did not come with the walk activity programmed in so I had one rare occurrence and one very common one.

    My maps lost all details after I uploaded the latest versions.  I also had a problem with Walk and Hike activities where starting the activity caused the watch to crash.  I'm returning the watch for a refund after only a week.

    I returned through Garmin and TreC was worth the wait.  I did not update the maps. That was last ving dangerous in my experience.
