Compatibility outdoor+ maps

I assume this is part of the product line differentiation, otherwise all models would have all features and only look different and no one would buy the top model if the base in looks had everything - this is how they get you to spend more £ on a Fenix/Tactix

that could be nice except at the time of the launch of the 965 it was more expensive than the fénix.

and just because we like to be outdoors doesn’t mean we have to like the fénix design and added weight (had a f6ss and hated it).

There can be another explanation: the users here and in other forums read a lot about Garmin, and know a lot about their different products. For some reason employees don't seem to communicate with other teams. Outdoors and Fitness are 2 separate divisions. The similarities between Fenix and Forerunner might be more of a coincidence if you ask Garmin, even though for us, users we're talking about the same feature.

Outdoor Maps+ is an option under the Map Manager under Public Beta Version 20.21.

Good news . Would be Nice if someone from garmin could confirm if it works, before we buy a subscription and end up with a non working one.
