Problems syncing activity from Forerunner 965

Hi there,

I recently did Alpe d'Huez triathlon and the activity won't sync. I've tried the steps in the other discussions such as switching everything on and off, forgetting the device and then pairing it again and downloading the file from my watch and manually uploading but nothing works. I suspect the file has corrupted somehow, but as I have a Mac rather than a Windows laptop I can't get MS Access on my laptop to try the fit file repairer mentioned on other threads. Can anyone help me?

Use Android File Transfer to access the watch.

Thanks, but I’m not sure how that helps? Is that a bit of software on the web that fixes the file? I’ve downloaded the file off the watch so have access to it but when manually uploading the file to the Garmin website it says file format not recognised even though it’s a .fit file.

Thanks for clarifying :-) unfortunately as I have MacBook MS Access doesn’t work on my laptop, but thanks for trying to help.

Why do you want to access MS Access?

this is a web based solution.

Thanks, I’ll re look at it. I read it as it needed MS access to run.

You don't need MS Access for FIT File Tools, it's a browser-based app. You might be referring to Fit File Repair Tool which does require MS Access on a Windows computer.

If you're unable to repair your file, zip then post it here so we can try to assist.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

I had a similar incident happen and was suggested to reach out to you for assisted with a retrieving a corrupted file.

So I was able to get the 3 activities and 2 transitions put into individual strava activities and then sent it back to Garmin connect as their individual activities. Is there a way to add them all together into a multisport?
