Unable to change lap alert fields for run activity

Unable to change lap alert fields for run activity from Total Calories for both the primary and secondary fields and it won’t allow me to change it.

I only have this issue for the standard Run activity. Other activities work fine. I’ve tried copying the activity type and editing the copy without success.

Problem solved!

All I needed to do was upload the “RunningRun.fit” file from the new firmware version 20.15 to my device. (edit: maybe from other device or sub(?) version).

Can you explain the steps and I'll check on mine which is on 20.15 to see if its corrected. I couldn't fully understand the comment.

Also did you try reset the activity . Activity > Settings > Restore Defaults.

Not sure if that would have any impact.

Activities and Apps --> Run --> Laps --> Lap Alert --> Primary field or Secondary field - try to change from Total Calories to other, it doesn't change

I don't seem to have an issue selecting any field as primary or secondary.

Im on 20.15 , so I can't comment on 19.18

Are you doing it on the watch or the app?

I can put my "sports.fit" in a Google drive and you can pull them to your device drive via your computer if you want to try that,

Actually that was one from a 12 June backup I had taken of my device drive so also 19.XX
