Customizable notification/alert model

When navigating with my Forerunner 965 on road bike rides, I frequently miss turns because

  1. The watch vibrates too late. 30 km/h is a very common speed on bikes. That also means the watch must indicate a turn a bit ahead to be able to catch the notification, have a look at the watch safely and then turn. However, it doesn't. It vibrates the very moment I am at the intersection, still going 30 km/h of course.
  2. The vibration is too weak. Sometimes, due to all the vibration going on on a bike anyways, I miss the notification because the vibration of the watch is simply not strong enough.

What we really need is a customizable alert model. As a user, I want to be able to customize when I receive alerts and how. A couple of examples to avoid misunderstandings:

  1. Upcoming turn: I want to be notified 5 seconds ahead (based on my current speed) and I want to be notified by a single, short, strong vibration
  2. I left the couse accidently: I want to be notified with a long, strong vibration. I might want to be reminded too if I stay off course, but I also might want to dismiss the notification and not be reminded again for that specific incident
  3. Time for food/drink: single medium long medium intense vibration
  4. Leaving my target pace/heartrate during a run: too slow --> single short medium vibration, too fast --> tripple short medium vibration
  5. Someone calls me: Repeated medium long medium intense vibrations for as long as the caller lets ring or until I dismiss
  6. Lap completed: short, low intensity vibration. Please make the time for which the lap screen is displayed customizable. I dont need 4 seconds to understand the 3 pieces of information there and it does sometimes get in the way with navigating because I cannot see the map anymore

Basic features on any phone, should not be too hard to get this on a top of the line watch, no?
