Cannot select effort and feeling after update to 19.18

The watch offered update to 19.18 a few days ago and I accepted. After this, when I finish a run or elliptical workout, I cannot move the round face with perceived effort or the next one with smileys for how I feel. Who is the irresponsible manager at Garmin approving these updates? Is there a solution to this?

Had the same problem after fw 19.80, and did a factory reset, and it works....BUT now the save function etc dont work anymore with touch.. this have to be a bug.

The middle button on the left side that sometimes give advice about the watch holding in the button also dont work anymore

Thanks Bitti for the links. So Garmin disabled the touch screen after we save the workout, I got it. Can I select perceived effort and how I feel with the left up and down buttons?

As far as I understand, in the current firmware the watch uses the activity's touch settings until the activity has been saved. You definitely can use buttons to select effort and feel. That's how I always do it because you'll have to use buttons to select "save activity" anyway.
