Hi everyone,
I recently completed an Ironman triathlon, and I’m encountering an issue with the swim segment data on my Garmin Forerunner 965. The swim segment was supposed to be 3.8km, split into two laps with an Australian exit. Here’s what happened:
• After completing the first lap, my watch correctly measured 1950m.
• Before starting the second lap, I accidentally pushed the lap button, which caused the watch to enter the transition mode.
• I continued swimming the second lap without pushing the transition button until I started the bike segment.
• When I finished the swim, I noticed that the distance for my second lap, which was done in transition mode while I was still swimming, was recorded as 3.88km. It should have been around 2.0km, considering the bike transition. Maps showed correctly, but pace was exaggeratedly high
Due to this error, my swim data is inaccurate. Does anyone know how I can fix this to reflect the correct distances and intervals for my second lap? Any advice on adjusting the data or if there’s a way to correct it through Garmin Connect or any other method would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
