new BUG in HRV graph after 19.09

Hi, just want to report a new bug in HRV overnight reading. It seems that the reading of HRV is "fragmented" during the night, and this is happening from the update to 19,09. I'm attaching the screenshots of how it was before and after the update. At this point I'm wondering if the average result shown in the morning report is reliable. Anyone else?

Mine (on 19.09) is not like yours , more like the older graph with no breaks.

I looked back for a few days also and they are all complete graphs for the period, no breaks.

Probably best to report under the Beta forum

That's a mysterious bug that has manifested itself occasionally even on older firmwares, and Garmin is investigating it (https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-965/359387/gaps-in-hrv-data-during-night).

I've got it a couple of times, fortunately for me a force reset (keeping the light button pressed until the watch shuts down) has always fixed the issue for me. But apparently everyone has not been so lucky...

I'll try the hard reset, and let's see it tonight! btw, along with this strange hrv reading, I sense also sleep recording is a bit faulty...

it worked out! after the reset tonight I had a normal hrv graph.

I don't understand why the user needs to do the hard resets after software updates.

Why Garmin doesn't make an automatic hard reset immediately after software update. (Only problem = device needs longer to boot after software update due to automatic hard reset).

I think so many bug reports in this forum could be not happening.

Garmin Sierra could you please explain why the user needs to do that after every update?

This has nothing to do with the update as such. I've had a couple of similar "gaps in nightly HRV graph" situations starting from last September, so over several firmware versions. And some of them happened during times where I had not updated my firmware recently.

This is indeed happening to a lot of people and not linked at all with doing soft/hard resets etc.

my Epix Pro has huge gaps in HRV data - Epix (Gen 2) Series - Wearables - Garmin Forums
