Maprun can't read fit file

I used my FR965 for a Maprun event for the first time at the weekend.

Maprun is unable to read the fit file.

Consequently I'm not able to retrieve my results.

I have spent a lot of time trying to get it to work, with no success.

Maprun claim that Garmin introduced a bug in release 18.22 and are waiting to see if Garmin will correct it.

Disappointingly 18.23 was released in early March and this is the firmware in my FR965 at the weekend.

So the bug is still present.

Has anybody else experienced this issue?

Is Garmin working on a fix?

Can other sites read your fit file? Runalyze? Garmin Web Connect? Strava? If so then the problem is with maprun and not Garmin.

Garmin Connect and Strava can read the fit file

However, neither displays the correct event name.

Maprun fails to read the fit file with an error the event name is null.

Prior to the event, I use Maprun to upload the event course to the FR965. The watch shows the correct event name.

At the event the cps I visit are recorded on the watch.

Why is the FR965 not putting in the correct event name when it is available on the watch?

This to me looks like a bug in the Garmin firmware
