Why cant we get audio prompts for total distance accumulated and total time elapsed the way we currently can get pace?

I currently have to use NRC in order to get audio prompts for my total distance and elapsed time every 0.25 miles. However, NRC uses my phone's GPS which is not as accurate as my 965's GPS. Within the past week, my phone's GPS has become wildly off. For example, my run this morning was 5.36 miles according to my 965 but NRC is saying I ran 6.62 miles. Thats a HUGE difference, especially when training for marathons. Towards the end of my long runs, I'll get NRC audio prompts telling me I've ran 23 miles yet, in actuality, I've only run like 18.

If we can get pace as an audio prompt from the 965, why cant we also get an option to turn on audio prompts for total distance accumulated and total time elapsed to play at the same set interval that we get the pace audio prompts??? For a watch that costs as much as the 965, this should be an automatic feature. Especially since time and distance are used to calculate pace (which we have an audio prompt for already).
