manually exiting sleep mode no longer sticks

I have my sleep schedule set to end at 9am for the few days I actually get to sleep in, but usually I'm up well before that and I manually disable sleep mode via the quick toggle. for the last week or two (probably coinciding with 18.22) the watch will re-enter sleep mode a few minutes later. if I manually exit again it just re-enables a few minutes later, so I am unable to make the setting stick until 9am hits. the problem has now persisted into 18.23.

on a similar note, is there any way to disable sleep schedule? I remember it asks about it during watch setup, but I can only find a way to edit the times, nod disable the schedule altogether.

  • Yes, I used the control wheel.  When you say sleep widget, are you referring to what Garmin calls glances in the 965 manual?  And then, are you talking about the glance that normally shows your sleep score?  Thanks!

  • `Yes Glances. Yes that one.  When you are in sleep , it normally shows sleeping.  I then used the Right top button when in the glance and select Stop Sleep I guess it was .. It was a while ago when I did it but something like that,

I think the Sleep mode one switches off in the control wheel does not stop sleep so to say but just changes the sleep mode to off and it seems it comes back on if one is still within the sleep window after soem time..well thats my assumption

  • All,

This has been addressed in software version 21.19, which is currently at 20%. If you are still unable to manually exit sleep mode after updating- please start a new thread or contact Garmin Product Support. Thank you!
