No Activity minutes from Edge 1030 Plus with HRM Dual

Hi,

I have a forerunner 965 watch and an edge 1030 Plus. When I record an activity with my Edge 1030 Plus (HRM Dual used during activity) the activity minutes doesn't show on the forerunner 965. My previous watch was a Fenix 6 pro and here I got activity minutes from "Edge-activities". If I google it it looks like the forerunner should support "Physio TrueUP", but I cannot find this setting anywhere on the watch or in connect under device settings.

A workaround is to also start an activity on the watch when taking a trip, but this is not ideal.

Has anyone else experienced the same?

BR

Allan

  • There is no Physio True up setting any more it was "replaced" by unified training status

  • OK, thank you for the info, but shouldn't I still get Intensity minutes from my Edge 1030 Plus activities when I use a HRM Dual during the activity?

  • There is sometimes an issue between the devices. I have an Edge 1040 and HRM Pro+. I usually sync my watch and the bike computer multiple times in Garmin Connect App. After that everything is synced. Don't know if the difference is HRM Dual and this makes the problem. Just had today a ride and the intensity minutes going up:

So my suggestion to try, go in the app where all devices are shown. Click the circle alternate from bike computer and watch. Of course wait until it's synced.

  • Hi Stefan,

Thank you for your reply. If I read on Garmins website it is very possible you get intensity minutes because you have HRM Pro+ (They mention intensity minutes on the product).

The strange thing is that it worked previously back when I had a Fenix 6 Pro insted the a forerunner 965. The Fenix 6 Pro has Physio TrueUp and the forerunner has the new unified training status. Not sure if it is related to that or if Garmin simply changed something to get users buying the new HRM Pro +

  • Hi Allan,

have you tried after a workout/training that you multiple times sync watch and computer?
I have no HRM Dual so I can't test it.

  • Yes, I have synced both the edge unit and the forerunner in Connect multiple times. Also tried syncing in Gramin Express
