Speed repeats training with coach: Starting intervals manually

I work out with Coach Greg. For the speed repeats session, I usually do a 15 minute warm-up. But the problem is that the interval units start right after that. I can't manually start that session with the lap button.

Strangely, this option used to be available, but is now gone. The problem is that I am rarely in a good spot to start the invervals after exactly 15min.

Is there any way to activate this or to alter single training session?

  • There is no way to customize the workouts. The simplest way is to do whatever warm up you want without starting the workout. Once you are ready, start the workout and press the lap button during the warm up period at any time to start the first work interval. Skipping part of the warm will impact your a little bit your execution score, but that should be the least of your concerns.

    Note: warm ups and cool-down periods have a very limited impact on the overall training effect of the workout because they are short and low intensity so skipping their recording is not a bit deal. To be clear, you should execute them but not worry if they are not completely recorded.
