Cycling Display Information

I got my 965 about 8 months ago and have been meaning to ask this question for quite a while.
Cycling is my main activity and I find it somewhat aggravating that I can't have the watch display what I am most interested in while I am riding. (And I'm not interested in Laps.)
What I want to see on my wrist while I am riding is:
Time of Day (If I know the T of D I can figure out the Total Time, which is what is displayed right now! I want to know what time it is.)
Distance
Speed
Average Moving Speed (I don't need to know a speed which included all my stops)

At the very least all I want is Time of Day, Speed, and Distance. Seems simple.

Am I missing how to make this happen? Current Speed and Total Time (and Laps)  doesn't help me at all. If it can't happen could Garmin consider giving us an upgrade with options on the watch face while we are riding?
Did I buy the wrong Garmin? I've had much cheaper watches where this info is available while I ride.

  • I might have just figured out how to Edit and delete Data Screens!

  • Just need to edit your data screens and you can add all those fields and remove the ones you don’t want.

  • Thank you - yes!
I had to dig deep to get there but here is the formula for anyone who reads this.

Click the watch at the top of the home screen

    Forerunner 965

    Activities and Apps

    Bike

    Data Screens

    Add Data Screen

    Custom Data

    Choose how many Fields

Then use the Edit Screen to put what Data you want where.

    Click SAVE top right

If you click EDIT top right on the Data Screen page you can drag screens up and down or by pressing and holding for a second or two you can delete a screen.

    Hope that helps someone else!
