Gaps in HRV data during night

During the last night's this is what my HRV readings look like.

The data is getting inconsistent because of this. Is anyone familiar with this problem and might know of a solution?

  • Does anybody found a solution? My readings are getting worse and worse. It can't be that we cannot raise a bug or something to just make the engineers notice that this is not working properly.

  • Anyone find a solution for this?

  • That is actually a good reason... I have the same problem as you! my RHR is 35, and my HRV if measured correctly is above 100s... I have a Fenix 7s Pro SS which was replaced but the issue is still the same...

/  what would be the solution for the cases as this? Where can we get hold of Garmin to fix this in a new software update?

  • Hi  I am still having issues but I have a new insight. The graph is showing no line in connect while I do have most of the measurements in.

Why is behaving like that? Why not including a dotted line to connect those points at least as the watch does?

  • Have had the same issue for the passed 3 months had bloods and all done. Figured out it was the watch. Garmin are getting a refund sorted. But I like my forerunner 965.

  • Had my watch replaced as well. Nothing changed. Just FYI its a software issue which Garmin won’t change, so just keep your watch

  • I just want to emphasize that this problem was never solved and somehow seems to be continuosly ignored by your development team.

Just to give an update: I think until two weeks ago all nights had perfect HRV readings, no gaps at all.

Since two weeks however I get serious gaps where the readings are totally incorrect.

It would be very much appreciated if I would be used as a user case and how to resolve this for other users.

  • Second this! I overlooked your reply on this, but I have also just found out that for me the same thing applies. The measurements do seem to be in, however they are just showing gaps. So this definitely is a software issue, and fixing this by just connecting the dotted points shouldn't be too hard for a software team like Garmin.
    Thanks for your input

  • Additional I have been doing some extra research myself.
So above is pointed that there is data in the graph which is simply not showing.
I have been adding all known values from the graph and dividing them by the total of measure points there are, however this never gives the overnight average which is stated.
Now I am getting the feeling that this is just a graphical problem where all data is actually present and the average HRV is correct!!
Is someone from the Garmin software team willing or available to have a look at this? If wanted I might be able to help with some practical examples.

In the meantime Garmin has offered me a refund for the watch but actually I'd like to keep the watch since apart from this I am very content about the watch. If it's just the graph showing incorrectly I might even consider accepting the situation.
