Gaps in HRV data during night

During the last night's this is what my HRV readings look like.

The data is getting inconsistent because of this. Is anyone familiar with this problem and might know of a solution? 

  • If you search, there are several threads on this forum on this topic, and a bug report on the beta forum. For now, force-reboot your watch (keep the light button pressed until the watch shuts down).

  • Exactly same problem the last night's. 

  • Force reboot didn't helpt anything. This night was even worse 

  • Force reboot didn't help anything,  this issue feels like something that should be resolved with the highest priority 

  • This is what Garmin has said about the problem on the bug report thread (forums.garmin.com/.../18-15---intermittent-hrv-measurement):

    "We have been investigating similar reports and have a fix coming in a future software update. The timeline for this update is undetermined at the moment, and I apologize for the disruption."

    I suggest you vote up the bug and maybe add a comment on the bug saying that force reboot wasn't enough.

  • Hi There,  have noticed that I also get distinctive breaks in my overnight HRV line graph. I also now have a new screen on the performance condition VO2 Max, second screen now is a FTP (Functional Threshold Power) Manual Entry. Two issues in that I have not entered anything manually and secondly ... I don't cycle. I have completed a Reset Default settings under advice from Garmin Support but still having the same issues but now I have to wait another couple of weeks to review performance metrics. My screen is also occasionally glitchy for want of a better technical phase.

    This was resolved for some time but now seems to be starting again.

  • The last two nights, I've gotten no overnight hrv and no sleep at all tracked although I've worn it the same as always. The Stress widget in the morning shows very patchy readings. This is definitely not normal. I have rebooted my watch now to see if that makes any difference tonight.
