Ski does not count anything

Hello.

Yesterday i tried to count my ski day.

I pressed the start button in the first lift Up the hill. After 5 or 6 Tuns down and lifts up I saw exactly 0.0km, 0:00:00 time... So my forerunner counted nothing.

I restartet the app on the top of the hill, because i thought, that perhaps the first run has to go "down". It worked until i stopped the first time for 5mins because of a photo stop.

After that nothing happend and nothing counted.

I saw in the lift, that the GPS IS there and the height over sealevel is correct at everytime. But the app didnt restart counting...

Has anybody these problems?

I had a similar experience, although it worked part of the time.

Works for me despite the stops and anything, really. It's random whether the total distance displayed in various places includes lifts or not, but after the latest bugfixes you can get both :-) What is the software version you're running?

17.26 It was the first time I used the watch for skiing. I will probably just need to try it again.

I've lost tracking on 2 ski days this year because of this issue. I start it, but it pauses (even though I have auto-pause off) and it never resumes. Super annoying. I've switched to using "Backcountry Ski" during the activity (which has never failed me) and then I change it in Garmin Connect and Strava post-activity to downhill skiing to ensure it's tracking while I'm out. Running OS version 17.26

Thanks. I will give backcountry a try. Seems they need to work on their algorithm a bit.
