I did a manual calibration of the altimeter and accidentally selected a completely wrong elevation (in feet instead of meters).
I have read that the watch uses a complex set of rules to use different calibrations together with their GPS locations. I am therefore concerned that I messed up the calibration data for my watch and would like to delete this last calibration, or reset the calibration data altogether.
Can someone with knowledge of the altimeter calibration details please shed some light on what to do in this situation? How is this bad manual calibration used? Can I remove it somehow from the calibration data, or reset it altogether?
I am aware of topic https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-935/224857/how-to-remove-saved-altimeter-calibration-data, but the comments suggest that the proposed solution does not address the issue, and I do not have any saved locations in my navigation app on the watch.
