Waypoint : not able to save neither sync from Explore

hi, 

I have a frustrating problem (not sure since which FW update the problems occured) that WAYPOINTS cannot be created/maintaned anymore by no means. 

On the watch

-when I try to created based upon current GPS positions, the watch ask to click START to save the GPS coordinates, yet when clicking YES not being save

- when ik choose activity Navifte, go to saved loctions, list is EMPTY (altough sure there where waypoints in)

Via Explore APP;

- adding waypoint + get a succesfull sync status.....not able to browse/select neither on the watch even not visable on the watch

ps: on FW 17.24

Please, can this being fixed!! I really miss this 

  • It sounds like a bug that makes it impossible to save a location. It’s in the firmware for quite some time.

    Garmin refuses to provide an adequate solution. In stead, you have to perform a factory reset.

    The fenix/epix series got a backup/restore feature, but garmin refuses to implement this for the sport watches, so you have to jump through quite some hoops to keep your settings.

  • During my bike trip I sent the planned trip every morning from my phone from komoot app to the device. One day it stopped working. I reported it to Garmin and it turned out that this happens because I reached the maximum allowed courses on the device. Once I deleted some of the courses I was able to send the new ones as before.

    So maybe try to delete some older waypoints you don't need any more and hopefully it will also work.

    If you don't see any, then see if there's something else you can free on the disk. Like a map or some songs. Maybe the disk is full.

    If this is the case the a message to Garmin: for every thing that fails because we reached some unknown,hidden,secret maximum number, please display some clear error message!
