[17.24 BUG] Calendar lists full day events on the wrong day

Events that cover the entire day gets listed one day too early! (I'm using an iPhone)

In this view it's OK (it says tomorrow for this event):

But inside it's listed under today (Monday)

And this apply for all my future full day events.

(old pictures because I posted this already under beta 17.22 as well, but issue remains...)

  • Well, one new "feature" is that annoying exclamation mark that now is permanent inside the calendar if the phone app is closed or out of range, in addition to that first screen telling me the same thing...

  • What makes you think they would just tell us their developmental process?

  • I’m convinced garmin will not tell us anything about their development process. Mostly because it isn’t organized very well.

Most software development nowadays uses some form of agile. Values of agile is openness and see customers as partners. Garmin shows none of this. Also, in agile/scrum, developers do no concessions to quality. That’s definitely something I don’t see at garmin.

  • We end users are not Garmin software department customers in the agile sense. We have "ordered" nothing from Garmin's software team. The department designing and innovating the products would be closest to a "customer" in that sense.

  • Agile is not limited to developers. The whole organisation should be more agile.

But I know, it's a futile wish for garmin to be more open. Garmin is driven by marketing and they are more interested in feature quantity than in quality.

(Why I bought a garmin if I'm not happy with garmin? That is a good question. My old forerunner 935 was a fine sportwatch, but my new 965 is on the mistake to buy list. It's such a stap backwards in software quality and usability)

  • Just a quick comment on your last parenthesized comment: I'm sorry to hear you feel buying your 965 was a mistake. But I'm aldo surprised, since I switched from Fenix 5+ (quite similar to 935) to 965, and for me 965 had been a huge improvement in almost every sense.

  • Well. First of all, the amoled needs a gesture to make it work. And the gesture doesn’t work very well. Specially when I do high intensity intervals on a track.
Second, the batterylife isn’t as good as my 935 when it was new.

And I experience a lot of bugs. Really a lot. My 965 is already exchanged by garmin because of all the problems I reported.

I want a functional sportwatch and I’m not into data collecting. Things like body battery, training readiness, endurance score, I can pretty good decide myself. Don’t need a watch for that.

But it could be very well your usage is different and you don’t experience the problems I have and find it a great watch. We could be both right in how we look at the watch.

  • Just installed GCM 4.74.2 on iOS, but issue remains.

  • Just installed GCM 4.74.3.1 on iOS, but still the issue remains :-(

  • Nice, this seems to be working now in beta 18.15 :-)
