Black Screen after power-off

Go to the gc app in the smartphone and in the watch settings (system - time) choose gps time sync. when theres a gps signal the display should come up again after synch.

You can also hold the power button until the emergency screen comes up. Then cancel it before it calls for help and you'll be at the watch face. From then on the screen works normally.

Unfortunately it works only when you set it up before.

You mean power on/reboot? Wait 10 mins doing nothing with it or connect to pc

I've got the same problem. Apparently it's a problem with a beta release - but I can't find any news of a fix.

I found a easy solution. If your watch is connected to your phone set a hotkey -> watch face. After this everything works normal 

It's still an issue on 17.24 which I think is no longer beta? Interestingly, during the update I gave it plenty of time and the screen seems to have come on by itself. In particular, I noticed that the "Restarting ..." message took ages, but then the update itself seems to have been quicker than usual. But after a manual restart later on the screen would still not come up by itself :-(
