I think what snochick means is, that last watch face- the one with the blocky 3 dimensional effect on the numbers.... doesn't have any spots for data to go on the screen.  so, you can't see sunrise time, calories, body battery, recovery hours, etc.

Same to me. Seems the update consists of multiple parts. E.g. after the initial one, the new watch faces were only partially there, now they are complete.

After maybe 5 times (guess, didn't count it) the watch stopped downloading the updates. Looks like it's completed now. 

snochick - I experienced the same after the initial update. I guess the update is not complete, if you go to "check for updates" the watch may come up with further updates (without stating what it actually is). 

This took me like 5 times till the watch shows me that there are no more updates. Now the new watch faces are complete.

I've tried updating it more than 5 times and even though it says downloading updates there is nothing to actually load and the watch faces are still missing. Garmin has made a ticket to fix it as its a bug.

"Adds embedded images in smart notifications." I actually can't see any images in any notification, either coming from whatsapp or email messages. Can anyone tell me how this works? is there any toggle for that somewhere in the settings?

I made 3 donwloads and three updates and eventually the new watchfacese are there

As far as I understand, the "images in notifications" only works with an Android phone (I'm not sure which one you have), and only for applications that actually embed an image in the phone's notification (i.e., you can see the image on your phone's notification panel).
