Error in pronouncing lap number (lap alert) in audio prompts

Error in pronouncing lap number (lap alert) in audio prompts

I've already lost count, this is probably the tenth request for this error. I discovered it on fr 955 six months ago and now this error is still present on fr 955 and 965.

When using audio prompts during a running class, the lap alert will be distorted or not present throughout the entire class during the daily guidelines.

Conditions for a lap alert error to occur:
- running, daily heart rate recommendations,
- headphones connected directly to the watch via bluetooth,
- lap number notification is enabled in the settings,
- the smartphone is absent during activity.

Tested on the language settings of the watch - English, Russian, language of voice alerts (audio prompts) - English US, US, Russian.

The lap alert error was indicated earlier.

Through regional Garmin technical support, I have an open request for this error, which is in work status.

One moment, if during such a workout you have a connected smartphone with you and listen to limited alerts through it, then the lap number is pronounced correctly!

Dear Garmin representatives, let me know that you are aware of this, although not significant, error in the Forerunner series software, it is in the works and you plan to fix it.

  • Привет. у меня звуковые подсказки работают только через телефон. и я их воообще отключил

  • When you run a sprint or a task based on threshold values, alternating 8 stages in a row, according to the recommendation, it is very convenient to have a voice notification; it allows you not to look at your watch, but to concentrate on completing the running task.
Alerts via smartphone have restrictions from Garmin..

  • I meant these restrictions on voice notifications via smartphone

...For the models listed below the audio prompts that will work using your paired smartphone speaker are: Lap, Time, & Heart rate. All of the other audio prompts will only work when Bluetooth headphones are paired directly to the watch....

There are only three types of alerts that work via a smartphone.
I don't run with a smartphone. Although it is always correct to say the circle number through a smartphone. But when connecting headphones directly to the watch, we receive a larger number of voice notifications, but there are errors in pronunciation of the circle number, as indicated in my first message.

  • Ran 10km yesterday, training according to heart rate recommendation. All 10 laps/kilometres the pronunciation of the lap number was absent. Nonsense.
