Sleep tracking. Day nap.

When Garmin dare to add nap tracking?!?
This is top brand sport watches, but the updates comes so slow. Do we really need to wait 5 years before you add this feature?

Annoying.

  • It's available in Venu 3 I believe. Maybe it's coming to Forerunner 965, as Garmin has a decent track record of backporting features (I love weather maps!), but maybe not (I am still missing jet lag advisor). I kind of expect Garmin to fix bugs for promised features (where there is certainly room for improvement), not necessarily keep adding new features (which is nice of course, but a bonus in fact).

  • Naps register with Body Battery.

  • It's in the beta for Epix/Fenix now...

  • there is Naps on 965 after update beta version 17.18 the feature is on Setting, Appearance, Glances, Naps. But until now I still trying to figure it out how to use it. You need to press Start and the time how long you want to nap. I dont think I can Naps voluntarily.

  • It's working fine by me. You don't have to set/press anything. Yesterday afternoon I had a nap, Garmin said 37 minutes and I can agree with him. It was a good nap for me, for Garmin a little bit too long :-)

you 'can' set a timer, to wake you up, or manually start a nap- but you don't need to.  it will automatically detect a nap.  although, if I sit down in the afternoon to read- it sometimes thinks I'm napping.  (understandable).  Other than perhaps allowing your body battery to rise more than it normally would at rest- I'm not sure what other function the nap does?

like:  Yay- nap detection.  but... so what?  what does it change?  how does it affect your other metrics?  does it get folded into overall sleep metrics?  or jet-lag advisor (oh wait, we don't have that yet)
