Why bother upgrade to 965

I’ve been a 945 owner for probably around 3 years now and love the idea of upgrading to the 965. Disappointingly though, the truth is I’d be paying a lot of money for being a beta testing Guinea pig for the foreseeable future - that would be an extremely frustrating prospect! Why are Garmin so adamant about releasing so many new models when they are clearly unable to accommodate proper functional testing before releasing to the public and loyal customers. The way I see it, Garmin should be paying us for testing until they have a software version fit for public use!

DC Rainmakers just released his full review of the V3 and it does NOT make it look good or something I would buy.

What's new seems like only the pretty AMOLED screen and maps.

The software has not changed much from the V2. It is still limited to just 4 data fields per page. There are no new data fields.

It crashed often for him. With AOD he only got 12 hours battery life. There GPS and HR had some accuracy problems

Watch his video and read the review for his usual very detailed and comprehensive coverage.

I've just recently upgraded to the 965 from the 945, had the 945 for about 3 years now. I never had a problem with the 945 and the MIPS screen was perfectly fine for the watch, but now after using the 965 for a few weeks don't think I could go back to MIPS, AMOLED screen is so nice to look at. Also the extra few features are a nice to have which probably won't make it to the 945.
