Cadence Sensor

I am coming from the Venu 3 to the Forerunner 965. When I start a bike ride my cadence sensor doesn't pick up. Do I need to remove it and take the battery out in order for it to connect back to the new watch?

You shouldn't need to reset the sensor, but you need to add it in the new watch. See Settings > Sensors & Accessories > Add New.

I had tried to add new sensor and told it to search all and it wouldn’t find it. I could see it was active from spinning because the green light was blinking. Odd enough that taking the battery out and putting it back in and then repeating the process worked. It found it and added the sensor.
