Calendar glance shuts down - restart watch...

Hi - when I am looking at the glances and get to the calendar, if I press down on the calendar, the watch shuts down and immediately re-starts...(a bunch of triangles show up)  this is quite annoying as I made the mistake of looking at my calendar in the middle of a run and the whole thing was off for about 30- 40 seconds.

I did a search for this problem and I see it was reported for other watches (before the glances on the 965) as far back as 4-yrs ago..!  so, not a new issue, but one that should have been corrected on this brand new unit.

  • I have seen a few comments on this issue. Interestingly I don't have the issue.

Are you on Android or iOS not sure how but maybe that has something to do with why some have different actions - seeing the calendar base is the phone. I am on iOS

  • I have this exact issue on iOS! (I was about to start a new question thread).

if I open the calendar glance and try to scroll down to “tomorrow” the watch shuts down. Every time.

Unsure what might be causing this? Maybe some type of event in my calendar? Or an empty day?

  • If I open the glance and page down I have no issues. I have blank days , days with all day events and days with only hourly appointments. I'm on iOS.

I can go to the appointment details as well, no issue.

Wonder why we have different experiences.

  • Good question! I have multiple Google calendars, as well as the Apple calendar maybe?  Or maybe some metadata in my appointments (from AirBnB or Garmins training programs) is causing an issue?

  • I have found out what seems to be causing the issue! (No fix though)

I used the slo-mo mode on my phone to capture the final frames before the watch crashed. As you can see I have some events today, then the Garmin is telling me “No More Events Today”, when in fact I have another event from 8-10pm tonight! (You can see the top of it at the bottom of my screen)

anytime I try to scroll past the erroneous “no more events” today label the watch hard crashes!

  • Nice investigative work! @op, have posted in the bug section?

  • Great sleuthing... that is exactly what is happening to mine.  To a previous poster, I am using IOS devices to sync my watch, but my calendar is on the Google suite, not the Apple calendar.  Not sure if that makes a difference, but thought I would point that out.
