It took a while but I’m now sold to PacePro. I come from ( and still am into) the running power world with Stryd. With Pacepro, you're able to get similar functionality which allows you to run at constant effort ( if you don't account for negative split).
There are a couple of advantages of running with Pacepro instead of Stryd
1- The Pacepro field is pretty slick when you use it as a dedicated screen that contains all and only the necessary infos for your pacing, (except maybe your current pace)
The Stryd app is way to minimalist and prevents you from tailoring it to your need.
2- PacePro has the jaw dropping functionality of readjusting the incoming splits pacing to catch up with your target overall pace: that's pretty neat and works really well.
BUT
This last advantage comes with a little flaw...
In a PB race, there comes a time where if you fall too much behind, it will be physiologically impossible to catch up and you have to just finish your race at a decent pace instead of running after the impossible.
Yes, you can cancel the pacepro plan in the run setting menu but that will completely make the pacepro screen disappear. But it would be interesting to keep using the original Pacepro splits pacing without the adjustments made to catch up the time loss.
What I'm suggesting is to.add a menu option like "Original split paces" that simply reset the splits to the original plan.
Thank you!
