I have set up the Back button as a hotkey for the watch face to quickly go back to the watch from any menu. Also, during general use I have AOD off (for battery savings) and AOD on during activities.
However, while in an activity, if I press and hold Back to see the watch face, AOD turns off. It remains off, even when I press the start button (or wait) to go back to the activity. At that point, until the end of the activity, I have use raise to wake, or tap the screen for it to turn on, no matter what screen I'm on.
This is reproducible. In summary, going back to watch face permanently (for the duration of the activity) turns off AOD.
