Metal bezel around screen

Hi all!
Interested in buying these watches instead of 955 FR. Excites the question only about the metal bezel around the display. What state is it in now? I remember from my venu 2 that this metal was very sensitive and scratched and wrinkled very quickly. There are no problems on FR955 plastic and there are no problems - scratches and chips are not visible. Post a photo, please.

  • I honestly still not sure it is a scratch, since it is Diamond Like Coating. Which is very hard and a lot harder than a drywall. My 1.5 year old DLC Epix has lot of small ticks of “damage”, but not scratches like yours.

  • I have been using my 965 for three months now. I accidentally bumped into an aluminum door and the titanium bezel got quite scratched. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of this finish for such an expensive watch. Its appearance bothers me a lot now. Does anyone know if I can repaint the bezel or even brush it to match a metal color?

  • A sharpie can cover up. I have used it on a cheap titanium band, where the coating was missing at places.

  • after 6 months of continuous wearing.  there's a screen protector over the face (as you can see by the ripples).  I didn't notice it until I looked closely at the photo- but it appears that there are some tiny nicks on the top edge.  too small to notice.

Oh- just notice that the OP was from 5 months ago.  Hope you got a watch.

  • I only got my Garmin 965 for one day, and already got one tiny nick on the top when I was trying to unplug my Google Chromecast TV. As I pulled the Chromecast out, my watch slightly hit the wooden wall panel where the TV hangs on. No big deal but disappointed by this design. I used Garmin 245 for 2 year hitting metal door 4-5 times in the office but still looks new. No dent.
