Livetrack per Activity profile

Next to running and cycling I like to play padel. When selecting activity padel I can choose between indoor and outdoor.

In the settings for indoor Padel livetrack isn't available, only for outdoor padel. Starting the indoor activity does start livetrack?

Would appreciate it to be able to disable livetrack for padel and simultaneously have it enabled for running/cycling.

  • Here is the stupid thing (for me)

In the settings for running, there is an option to turn livetracking on and off. Biking, trailrunning, normal biking, all have the option to turn lifetracking on and of.

When I go biking or (trail)running, my girlfriend finds it reasuring she knows everything is ok, so I turn livetracking on. When I bike to work with normal biking profile, no lifetracking is needed, so in the normal biking profile I turn lifetracking of.

Only to find out, without any warning, lifetracking isn’t per profile, as the setting suggests. It’s on or off for all.

This is so stupid design, suggesting per profile but is global. Or a bug, accidentally turn it on or off globally.. I don’t know, really. Garmin programmers aren’t the best designers nor are they known for high quality software, so both are very well possible.

  • Exactly my point! Should be per activity, my wife's Venu 2s does exactly the same thing, so it isn't just the FR965.

@garmin I think this is a bug, when you think it isn't please see this as a feature request.
