[Bug] Navigation Turn by Turn Arrow Not Present

I have noticed a bug when navigating (using run, walk, or navigate activity) with the watch.

This is an image of the navigation page from the product page on garmin.com

When I navigate, I get the route draw, with the distance, but no turn arrow.  I am guessing this is a bug?

I am using FW 4.19 and I have updated my maps using garmin express on the computer

    Have you created the route in Garmin Connect? If yes, make sure that turn by turn notifications are turned on in the route's settings before you sync the route to your watch.

    Hello,

    I have tried with a saved location. The routing function works great and shows the route just no arrows

    Someone else suggest I try a route in Garmin connect and I've done that too and still no turn arrows

    When you say no arrows, you mean the turn arrow as at the bottom of the picture you noted?

    Saved location?

    The arrows are rather small , smaller than the picture , I did note this as a bug in one of the Betas

    Mine works last time I used it ( about a month ago)

    As mentioned above make sure this toggle is ON for TURN NOTIFICATIONS (this is screenshot form Garmin Connect iOS app)

    Hello :) 

    The turn arrow is not present at the bottom of the picture, just the distance shows. 

    If you go to Saved Locations->lat long I saved Garmin will route where I am to that location. Again, the route works great and shows in the map, but I have no turn arrows on the bottom next to the distance. I do have the arrows on the route itself on the map. 

    My toggle is on when I try to make a course, but still no arrows even when I use a course :(

    So it seems after playing around I was able to make the arrow show up during a course! Yay! I have no idea what I did to do that.

    However, if I navigate, say to a location like a POI like a coffee shop, the watch perfectly creates the route on the map, but there is no arrow for the turns as I explained before.  Is this by design? Are turn arrows only present for courses?

    I have the same problem on my 965. Same firmware version.

    Sometimes it shows just the total remaining distance, and sometimes the distance to the next turn, but without the arrow.

    It's very frustrating. I expect turn by turn navigation to have distance and an arrow to your next destination whether it's a course or a POI I'm navigating to.

    Like mentioned, you have to turn on notification. But there is a catch. If the course is created from other app, for example Komoot, then shared to Garmin Connect, you won't have the notification option.

    I really wish there was a in ear notification, like: turn left in 10 meters.

    I noticed this as well today - no turn icon when routing to a saved location.
