Weather not connecting to phone every morning on FR965

Cannot retrieve weather unless I either:

1. restart the watch, or

2. quite Garmin Connect, toggle bluetooth on iPhone on/off, then restart Garmin Connect

is this a bug on FR965 or iPhone?

Please see Weather Widget Displays Wrong Information on My Garmin Device. Since you have an iPhone, make sure the Connect App is running in the background. Otherwise, the watch won't be able to retrieve…

In your iPhone: Settings -> Connect (Garmin app) -> Location -> Always.

This is the first step you have to check.
