Temperature recording disabled while swimming?

I notice I get temperature recordings during running for example, but not during swimming activities? Anything I can do about that? Looks like it might also be disabled on indoor bike. I see no reason for this to be disabled at all.

I do see where on a number of activities you can set it to record temperature, but not on lap swim.

Temperature can be turned on for open water swim but not lap swim. Why?

Basically, there is an issue where having the temperature sensor on in a pool causes the sensor to fail prematurely, so they turned it off.

Yes, was figuring that out. I have had a number of 935’s replaced because of bad altimeters, so seems real.
