[Bug] Gesture sensitivity control needed

I am putting up with crap battery life because of the delay in seeing the time on my watch.

I'd like to be able to adjust the everyday wear (non activity) sensitivity lower.

Better that it turns on sometimes when not needed than:

Have an annoying delay for the core functionality
Cut my battery life down to ⅓

Garmin, is anything in the pipeline to have the watch function as a timely timepiece?

I swear my 255 gesture backlight activated quicker than the AMOLED gesture. So this seems like a regression.

Garmin-Sierra could you comment about this feature here and for the 265?

I believe the Venu 2 has gesture sensitivity control, so why not this premium watch also?

j’ai trouvé la solution.

moi aussi le geste ne fonctionnait pas en course et j’ai trouvé pourquoi.

mon geste était trop rapide.

Partir du bras tendu vers le bas et il faut monter le bras assez lentement et tourner le poignet lentement et ça marche à tous les coups.

faites un essai et vous verrez.

Yeh, the gesture to wake the screen annoys the *** out of me. It doesn't work properly during runs.

And there is a delay between the recognition of the gesture and the screen to turn on. That delay is 1 second longer if touch is disabled (and of course touch is disabled during runs)

According to Garmin-Sierra this extra 1 second delay is by design. This is not only unacceptable, not working at all during a workout, but also very stupid. Whoever designs a 1 second extra delay?

I already adviced 3 members of my athetics group away from garmin towards Coros, because of the amoled screen and bad gesture detection. They are now happy Coros Pace 3 owners.

Yes, I reported the same problem 6 months ago! Unfortunately, no reaction so far...

I second the request for letting the user control gesture sensitivity. I find that even the delay with touch enabled is too long. Garmin-Sierramentioned a one-second delay is by design, but I suspect I'm not the only one who finds this annoying. A single option to disable/enable the delay would be very welcome.
